Molitor Holiday Decor~ Antlers, antlers and more antlers...

Rudolph took over our house this year... I know this an antelope but we can pretend. Our house has antlers everywhere. I can't get enough!
So why not hang balls on them!

This little guy greets you as soon as you walk in our front door. As you can see, it has the perfect little ear to throw our keys on! I used him as the main focal point at the Designer House over the mantle. Guests that walked the showhouse just loved this guy! Doak loves him too... he gives him kisses all the time.

Another Target purchase... I'm obsessed!

 They are definitely like our kids, haha. My brother, John, calls me a cat lady and he may be right... Der and I never knew we liked cats until after we got married. Our kitties act like puppies and sleep with us and... ok, I'll stop.
We just love them! 

I made name balls for each of their stockings... I messed up on Bella's so I made a paw.

I bought these dolls for Der and I in Mexico and thought they were the perfect addition to my homemade wreath.

The Lucy pendant was kind of like my Christmas tree this year...

Minus the smell of pine and getting pricked!

Our entire family lives in PA and we spend our holiday there so it doesn't make much sense to get a real tree...
Although I long for the day we cut down our own tree and decorate it together the Lucy pendent will do just fine for now.
She's a beauty!

  

When you wish upon a star...
This beauty sits on the top of the tree, (fake from the dollar store) in my office. It is dressed in all white and silver decorations for all my neighbors to see in the front window. Couldn't bare the thought of doing a "fake" in the family room. From outside you can't tell. ; )

And as we all know I'm a huge thrifter so when I saw these bubble lights I was ecstatic!  My mom has always had them on her tree and they are, hands down, my FAVORITE part. I couldn't find them anywhere!
As you can see only some are lite up and after a patient 15 minutes of waiting, in complete anticipation, no bubbles formed. 

My thrift advice for the week: Don't buy Christmas lights at thrift stores! : )

House Project #6~Lucy Pendant!

The Lucy Pendant is one of the most beautiful lighting fixtures! Since the moment I walked into LaDiff I saw this beauty and fell in love. I had the honor of using it for the Designer House and new it would be hard to part with after it was over. 
Der knew this... so we bought it. 
Thanks to LaDiff and my hubby for being so amazing I now have it in my own house!!!

I love how it complements our pot rack over the stainless steel island.  

Just lovely.

Fuchsia, orange and aqua balls are hung to match the house decor.

Today we are heading to see Santa!
 Doak was a very curious baby last year and ended up loving him. But after seeing all of these babies, around Doak's age now, with their arms out screaming for their parents this should be interesting!

House Project #5~Rolling Cart

Last week I posted about the wallpaper accent that didn't quite fit the entire wall. I needed a solution to hide the area where the paper had been cut off and something that I could store some things that had been building up in my guest/Der's computer room/craft room on the 2nd floor.

and that's when I found this adorable little rolling cart/console/shelf thingy! 
THRIFT FIND: $30

The only problem... it was blue.

The blue color clearly does not work in my office but I really liked the natural wood edges.  

So instead of using my go to, Rustoleum, spray paint make over I opted for contact paper. I thought if I used this sticky paper the I could just cut the surfaces to size rather than taping the edges off and worrying about the spray paint leaking through and well... I just thought I would give it a shot!
 

After placing the paper onto the surfaces I took a razor to the excess paper... went way smoother than I thought!

Here she is! 

It is the perfect height to cover the missing wallpaper... see below.

Oh heavens!

Now to fill it will left over fabrics and some things that had been collected from the Designer House.

 

Perfect little drawer to hold all of my paint fans and swatches.

I was given this pear box from Johnna filled with a bunch of goodies as a mother's day gift. It couldn't be more perfect to hold my collection of  beautifully colored travel books from all over the world.

and I ended up having to stash my record collection, that was originally in our family room, in my office due to a 18 month old who is into EVERYTHING... and uses them as a frisbee!

Heading to VA Beach today to finish up some details for my Greenwich Village Project... Love driving only an hour and a half to check out the ocean!
